Learn how to make a boo-boo-bunny and help your toddler warm-up to cold therapy.
We all know that ice is the best thing for helping ease the pain and swelling that comes with toddler bumps and bruises. But getting a toddler to cooperate with cold therapy can be tricky.
Learn how to make a boo-boo-bunny and help your toddler warm-up to cold therapy.
1. Lay a facecloth out flat.
2. Draw an imaginary line from one corner to the opposite corner creating a centre line on the diagonal.
3. Roll one corner in to the centre line of the facecloth.
4. Repeat with the opposite corner so you have two rolls.
5. Fold the face cloth in half.
6. Flip the ends back creating ears.
7. Secure with a rubberband or hair tie around the bunny’s neck.
8. Find a little pocket in the bunny’s back and tuck an ice cube into it.
Before you know it your toddler will be asking for a boo-boo bunnies with every bump and bruise.
Be safe with icing. Keep it brief – a couple of minutes will do – and avoid direct contact with skin to protect against frostbite.
