Our little ones were very excited at the prospect of decorating their very own Christmas Trees and actually getting to eat it once they were done!
1. Sugar cones
2. Cream cheese – leave out at room temperature for 20mins to soften to make it easier to spread
3. Edible ornaments for the trees (we used orange and red diced peppers, blueberries and raisins – but as with anything, you can use whatever you have on hand. Remember that the more colour the better! )
4. Green food colouring (optional)
4. Once the cream cheese was evenly spread over the ice cream cone, the fun of tree decorating began. The little ones unleashed their inner artist and created away!
The best part of this craft was that it provided a variety of healthy fruits and veggies for the kids to choose from. The moms couldn't believe some of the choices their little ones made during the assembly process and loved the idea of this easy, healthy holiday treat!
Can I eat now?
