Halton Region will be hosting the second annual Harvest Halton on October 5, 2014 at Country Heritage Park. This is a great event that allows you the opportunity to discover local award winning chefs from some of Halton's most renowned restaurants. These chefs will be paired with local farmers to give you literally all the best that the Halton Region has to offer! Guests will be able to sample unique dishes and satisfy their thirst with beverages from local craft breweries and fruit winery.
This is a family friendly event with activities for all ages. The event is free admission for children under the age of 18 (you will need to purchase food tickets to sample the tasty treats)! There will be face painting, wagon rides, activity booklets and a fun photo booth to take advantage of. A new feature to the event this year is a large Steam Traction Engine onsite steaming corn for purchase!
Country Heritage Park offers wonderful historical buildings to explore along with an outstanding collection of antique tractors, steam engines and farm equipment. Your little ones will enjoy visiting the farm animals and meeting many of the actors who will be dressed in period costumes.
