I have been making pancakes for my girls since they started eating solids and I have a wonderful recipe that is truly very adaptable and delicious! Over the last year, I have been trying to limit gluten and dairy use in our house. There are many great reasons to eliminate or dramatically reduce your gluten intake. Here is my family’s favourtie pancake recipe. I have included the original recipe and notes on how to make it gluten and dairy free.
This recipe has been adapted from a recipe in my favourite cookbook “Five Roses-A Guide To Good Cooking”. This cookbook lived in my house growing up and I think that the recipes in it bring me back to my childhood. My father used to make the original recipe for me all of the time and it was always one of my absolute favourite things to eat for breakfast!
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Wholewheat Flour
1/3 Cup Quick Oats
3 Tsps Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
3 Tbsps Sugar
1 1/4 Cups Milk
3 Tbsps Olive Oil
1/2 Tsp of Vanilla
